Plans

Meg

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." (Proverbs 16:3).

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps" (Proverbs 16:9, NIV).

"Better is a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes the city" (Proverbs 16:32, NIV).

If I've learned anything about the Air Force, it's that they're not on our timetable. At times it feels we're always waiting to find out this news or that news. So many people and so many piles of paperwork are involved in any decision. At times, it's horribly hard to wait. It's hard knowing that the military controls so much of our destiny. But are even these things out of God's control?

I depend so much on what the military tells my family, but God does reign over it all. He can move hands, numbers, people where ever He chooses.

Man (and or the military), may direct our daily footsteps, but God is working on all of our hearts. I have to believe that, in all things, God reigns. Yes, it's horribly hard to be patient at times. Yes, I itch and squirm and have trouble getting things done, but the details are really out of my hand. Out of my control. And into God's.

Be encouraged my friends. Remember that our God is above all things. He truly is in control. And He sees the deepest desires of your hearts.
