Thankful Thursday: An Anniversary

Dear Husband,
Friday marks our fifth wedding anniversary. Really, five years? When did that happen?
It feels like we have lived so much life already. Those dating days feel like eons ago. 5 years, 4 houses, 3 states, 2 children, 1 deployment later, I'm so thankful that I'm on this adventure with you! With little kids at home, our days are not our own. But between the sleep deprivation and tantrums, stroy-times and baby cuddles, I laugh at us, knowing what amazing memories we're making. These days with little kids will go by oh so quickly. Before we know it, they'll be on their own and we can once again have date nights and movie nights and feel free to stay out as late as we like. One day I'm sure we'll look back and wish our kids were still little enough to sit on our lap and cuddle. These days are so hard, but so precious. Ten, Fifteen, Twenty, I pray we have many more anniversaries in front of us. But for right now we're at five, and for that I'm so thankful.
Building a life with some one has it's difficulties. We're two different people with different ideas about how things should be done. But we also share so many simularities. I love that we can do "history stuff" today, browse through bookstores for hours, enjoy nature, or just enjoy a morning cup of coffee together. God knew that I would need you in this life. You are my number one fan, the encourager of my dreams, and my best friend. I'm so very thankful for you!
