"Do not fear, for I am with you;do not be afraid, for I am your God.I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10, HCSB).
You know when your day takes a completely direction? You're plodding along, going through the routine, and then, the unexpected happens.
It's those fluke things, the things that seems mere happenstance. My daughter fell off the couch today and her forehead found a toy. The end result was 5 stitches, the in-between were some moments when I was reminded of how great a God we serve.
A neighbor, who just happened to be home and was able to help us out.
A remarkably cool spirit, which helped me to manage both kiddos, keep a blanket pressed to little girl's head, and call for the paramedics.
Child #2 actually behaving well and staying close by through the process.
Prayers from friends and family over the next few hours.
The ability of a three-year-old to bounce back almost instantly.
I'm thankful for these things.
I'm thankful for a God that can look, see a situation at hand, and use it to build trust, trust that He's in control, and that He provides for us through everyday miracles.
Miracles and workings that we only recognize if we're looking for them, but they're there just the same.
