You Are Chosen

Meg

I have to admit, it's rather thrilling when my daughter picks me out of a room of people. It's wonderful being the center of someone's world. To be the person they cuddle up to in the morning. To calm their fears and listen to their silly laughter. No, children don't chose their parents. But it's wonderful to think that my child likes being in my presence. She misses me when I'm not around. She seeks me on a daily basis. Children are tough at times, but their also wonderful for your self-esteem.

Did you know that God has chosen each of us? You, and I, are desired. We are wanted. We were created to love and serve our Maker. We have a purpose here in this world. A very unique and distinct purpose. Each person's story is unique to them. Before the foundations of the world God saw each of us. He already knew our complete stories. And yet, He desired fellowship with us, just the same.

Sometimes it's just nice knowing you're wanted. You're chosen. And that there is a plan, in the midst of this crazy thing called life.

"Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.

We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him for the administration of the days of fulfillment—to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him" (Ephesians 1:3-10, HCSB).
