“May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light” (Colossians 1:11-12, HCSB).
This, my friends, is my prayer for each of you today. The military life isn’t always easy. Frequent moves, deployments, changing family dynamics, can all cause a great amount of stress on our shoulders. I pray, today, that you are encouraged and strengthened.
You’re not alone. We’re all on this journey together. Endure and stand strong. Keep your eyes on the ultimate prize:
“Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne” (Hebrews 12:1-2, HCSB).
The goal is Jesus. The very reason we live these military lives is Jesus. He placed us here, so lean on Him to get you through each day.
