"Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10, NIV).
Take a deep breath and breathe... slowly. Drink it all in, this thing called life.
I've been going in overdrive ever since I got home last week. So many things need to be done, so many people are counting on me to be on top of things. It's overwhelming when you come back from a vacation!
I spilled out my stresses over Skype the other night. I'm so thankful that I have a hubby who listens, and even through a computer screen sets me straight again. Have I mentioned lately that I love this man? Well I do! He's such a good listener and understands my need to unload on him from time to time. Now, with him being deployed and all I don't share everything with him. There honestly isn't the time for such things. Just the same, it makes me appreciate him all the more when he does have a moment to listen, encourage and point me in the right direction. It's the sign of a good leader, it is :)
My husband is great at reminding me to relax and let God handle all the details. This deployment is definitely a time of listening for me. While life is crazy with my husband gone, I'm largely kept in the dark when it comes to the bigger picture. And so, I'm doing my best to slow down, wait, and listen for the hand of God to move.
