Hello! I'm so glad you stopped by. I wish I could pull out my red teapot and my Grandma’s blue china cups (I believe beautiful things are meant to be used, not just displayed!) and have you take a seat and share all about yourself.

As for me, I’m Megan (or Meg, since we’re friends). I’m a military wife of 13 years, Mama for almost 11 of those! This past year, I also took on the new role of Homeschool Mama. That’s definitely been an adventure. I don’t know that my kids always love it, but I’m cherishing the extra time with them during this Covid-19 season. I’m an Enneagram 1, lover of Jane Austen & the Brontës, and drinker of Oat Milk Lattes. In normal years, we’re travelers. We love finding a new town, touring the historical houses, and getting lost in museums. We view my husband’s years in the military as one big adventure & blessing. We’re getting to live places and see things that we never would have seen otherwise.

Back in 2008, I earned a Masters degree in English. Why? Well, mostly because I’ve always loved the power of words. I’m a lifelong learner who can never have enough books piled up beside her bed! I’ve been published in The Mudroom Blog, Proverbs 31 magazine, Granola Bar Devotional, The Upper Room, Sanctified Together, and Wives in Bloom. This year, I’m looking toward self-publishing a book I’ve been writing as well.

In 2019, with my youngest child in school, I found my first job outside the home in more than a decade. Working for a local church has been a life changing, empowering job for me. I’ve been reminded of how much I love God’s people, love scripture, and love finding new ways to write and encourage others! This church job gave me a brand new outlet for devotional writing and prayer challenges. It reminded me that a calling doesn’t just show up in one way, it can take some incredibly different forms.
